| |
Computer cannot be turned on. |
|
| Check out if the power line is correctly connected. Check out the voltage at your place. Sometimes the difference of voltage between the one in power supply and input voltage might cause the problem. Check out if the power connector to your main-board is correctly connected. Please exchange or check your power supply when it sill doesn't work after above mentioned check out. |

Computer is not turned on even though electric power comes in after blackout. |

| Check out if your BIOS setup program has POWER ON mode. Some main boards do not give the ability that enables to turn on or off automatically when the electric power is on again. Users with that kind of mainboards have to turn the computer on manually by pressing the power button. |
| The whole screen turned to black all of a sudden. |
| |
This may happen when you press other button while the other image is running to switch. In this case, just press any image channel (Even if the screen turns black, it will not have any affect on recording so you don?have to worry about that). |

| Connection window does not progress when trying to connect to the Center (TCP/IP case). |
| This happens when IP address from Site is not correct. In this case, Center has to search for IP address for about 30 seconds. It does not mean that the Center was shut down so please reconnect to the correct IP address after waiting a little while. |

Connection has failed when trying to connect to Center (Telephone Modem case) |

| First, check to see if both of Site and Center's phone line is operation normally. Then, check if phone line of Site and Center is properly connected to a modem's line jack (Sometimes, it is usually connected to phone jack). |
| Site image will appear black after connecting to the Center. |

In order for DN Center S/W to work properly, Center PC's VGA must be more than 16MB. Check the PC's information. |

| System will not shut down. |
| Press the Power button for 5 seconds then system will shut down. |
| Some parts of image screen looks blue and seriously corrupted. |
| From the place where back part of DVR Camera is connected, switch the location between normal camera and abnormal camera. If the abnormal screen continues to look weird, camera is the one that causes the problem. Contact the person who installed your camera. But if the screen was switched from normal to abnormal then, contact our customer support center. |
| Computer keeps getting rebooted after startup between 2 min. 30 sec. ~ 20 min. |

The computer is designed for being rebooted automatically when DN site program is not executed by control card or Watch Dog card between 3 min and 20 min. Therefore, make sure to execute DN Site program. |

| DVR gets rebooted regularly in the dawn. |
| That doesn't mean any problem with the computer. DN site program can be set to be rebooted automatically in certain time for better stability of the computer. You can set auto reboot time by clicking on "Configuration" button. Then select the time zone you want it to be rebooted on. (DVR is made in factory to be rebooted on 3:30 AM) |
DN Center/Site program can be executed however some parts of right and down side of the screen are cut out. |
| Execute "Display properties" by double-click on "control panel" or right-click on windows desktop. Select "Settings" tab on "Display properties" and then make sure it is set for (1024 X 768) resolution and more than 24Bit true color. DN Center/Site program is set for 1024 X 768. |
| There is too much noise while the system is running. |
| |
Check CPU, cooling fan of power supplier in the system. Cooling fan might make much noise as it goes on with much dust on it. You should clean up the dust on the fan and case. Aged HDD might make much noise. Aged HDD might have heat, dust, external shock, or too much saving. They will give damage to the HDD. If this damage is severe, it can make much noise or break up. |

| It is connected, however, DN says "password is incorrect." |
| Check again if the password in DN Site program and Center program is the same. Password should be same with the one in DN site program's "setting" > communication setting > password. If you don't know the password, re-enter password in the site program. |
| The saved data from the selected camera is not displayed through DN Site searching. |
Check out if data is saved or not. Check out motion detection area is configured correctly with each camera by
selecting "setting" Check out if right camera is selected in "hardware setting" after clicking on"setting" |
| DN Center/Site program isn't installed correctly. |
Check if the source program has been damaged. Check if DN program is installed already. Sometimes it can't be
installed because of prior installation. In this case, remove DN Center/ Site program in "Control panel" >
"Add/Romove". |
| Sensor input / Control selection button doesn't come out on DN Site program's watching mode. |
Select "Setting" button and check on the box for the sensor number in hardware setting box. Select "Display control
status bar" and "Sensor status bar" from site information. |
| How much capacity of HDD should I have? How many partitions or drive should I have? |
| Each drive should have more than 600 Mbytes and HDD can be partitioned up to 20. (X drive). HDD should be set FAT32 mode when it's partitioned. Each drive should be more than 600 Mbytes to be set for FAT32. |
| How can I change system date? |
First, exit DN program. Double-click on time of 'work schedule' tray. Set desired date and time in "Date/Time
properties" . Re-start DN program. |
| After connecting to Site from the Center, some functions do not work. |
Check and see if other S/Ws (like excel, word etc.) are running. If the other S/Ws are executed at the same time,
some functions may not work due to reduced memory problem so end the other S/Ws first then use. |
| DN will periodically restart every 10 minutes while it runs. |
Check and see if RS-232 cable is connected between Com port (9) and I/O card (PS2 Port) located on the back of DVR. If RS-232 cable is not connected between Com port and I/O card, DN system will automatically restart every 10
minutes since normal communication between DN program and I/O card is not possible in this case. |
| It is connected, however, DN says "Site code is incorrect." |
Check out in the DN site program if the 7 characters' site code is the same with the one in the Center. Check to
see if "Setting" button of DN Site Program > Site Information > Site Code is the same with the one from site code. |
